Pelvic Floored's People Before Profits Scholarship Program

Through Dr. Kelly's revolutionary People Before Profits Program, for every four online courses sold, one course (or the monetary equivalent) is donated to someone in need to address their own pelvic floor need, or to train them to help address the pelvic floor need of someone they love (like a child, elderly parent, or sometimes, training for a personal trainer or other medical professional!).  

The Vision of Pelvic Floored is to Save the World, One Pelvis at a Time, and the Mission is to Remove Geographic, Financial and Psychosocial Barriers to Accessing Kick Ass Pelvic Health Care and Information.  

People Before Profits is a MAJOR part of that Mission and Vision, and has been a part of Pelvic Floored's operating standards since it's inception in 2020, and has resulted, on average, in at least $20,000 worth of courses or physical therapy care being donated to people in need of one:one physical therapy care, online programs donated to at risk clinics, or mentorship programs offered to educate medical providers in at-risk areas in assessing and treating pelvic floor conditions.  

For every four courses sold, one (or the cash-equivalent) is donated to someone in need.  

Specific Examples of Uses

Client A: Was in a traumatic accident and her insurance coverage was insufficient to cover the number of visits required for adequate rehabilitation, and did not cover Dr. Kelly's specialized services (this was actually back when Dr. Kelly did accept some insurance).  She was unable to work due to the extent of her injuries, so Dr. Kelly was able to use the scholarship fund to support the necessary care for this client, to get her back to work, as well as to continue care to allow her to return to high level of function.  

Additionally, as the client returned to the workforce, she was able to transition to partial pay for visits, freeing up scholarship funds to go to someone else in need :)

Client B: A personal trainer in a developing country has questions about treating pregnant and postpartum individuals.  She cannot afford Dr. Kelly's online courses or mentorship but is highly motivated to "pay it forward" and is accepted into Dr. Kelly's Mentorship program on scholarship.  She completes the mentorship and is now able to train >20 women a week with these skills, improving their health and wellness, leading to an exponential improvement in women's health, worldwide!

Client C: A medical provider in an inner-city (but could be rural, or could be in your town) sees a DIRE NEED for pelvic health physiotherapy, but there's either: 

- No trained physiotherapists nearby

- OR there might be physios, but they might only be cash pay, or they might have a 3 month wait list, or they might not even be accepting new patients

- OR the client, for any number of reasons, might not be willing or able to go to in person or online pelvic physiotherapy.  

In this case, the clinic can apply for a scholarship coupon.  If accepted, they can then disperse the coupon to clients at their discretion, giving their clients access to Pelvic Floored's online courses at a significant discount (sometimes free).  In this way, we are able to reach clients all over the world, and are not limited to "just the clients that know us", but are able to have other clinicians obtain coupon codes, and spread world class information through our courses.  

We keep the courses up to date, they spread the world.  Mission and Vision Progressing!!  WOOT!!!

How Do you apply for a People Before Profits Scholarship?

On the main People Before Profits Scholarship Page, there is a simple application form for individuals, as well as for clinics and medical and fitness professionals.  You simply fill out the form, and a member of the Pelvic Floored staff will review your application, and get back to you within 4-6 weeks if you are awarded a scholarship.  

For online courses, if you are not selected, you are welcome to reapply after a 6-month period.    For in person care, if you are not selected, you are welcome to reapply after a 12-month period.

Do you have to repay a People Before Profits Scholarship?

No.  The purpose of a scholarship is that it is a gift.  

That being said...Dr. Kelly DOES ASK that you pay it forward....meaning, that you ask yourself, how are you going to take this gift...and make the world a better place?  

How are you going to take this gift....this better pelvis...and teach others about the importance of pelvic health?  

Dr. Kelly will further ask that at some point in the future that YOU please gift someone something that will improve their lives.  It doesn't have to be "transactional or equivalent" to the gift you've received from Pelvic Floored, but it does need to be meaningful, and something "only you" can gift.  By helping others with our own unique gifts, we can all continue to make the world a better place.
